ARLINGTON, VA – Thousands of dollars in funding await the latest class of candidates for the 2019-20 Horizons Scholarship, Women In Defense announces as the nonprofit organization supporting women in national security careers prepares to take applicants for the awards.
Beginning Feb. 1, eligible women may submit their bids for endowments that will help them pursue education on the path to a career in defense or national security. Application packages must be postmarked no later than March 15.

Check out images from the WID Summer Fundraising event. The event was held at the Women's Museum of California at Liberty Station. Attendees got to experience the "Heroines in Arms: Women of the American Military" exhibit and bid on silent auction items to raise money for deserving students working towards careers in defense and national security.
Women In Defense National is now accepting applications for the HORIZONS Scholarship program for the 2017-2018 Academic Year.
Eligible candidates for the scholarship are females currently enrolled at an accredited university or college, either full-time or part- time, who demonstrate interest in pursuing a career related to national security or defense. Candidates should be either currently enrolled graduate students or undergraduate students who have completed at least 60 credits toward their undergraduate degree.
