When I’m not working you can find me:
Spending time with my family, hiking, going on a random adventure or watching some kind of sporting event – usually soccer.
My favorite memory from my career in defense:
There is not a single memory that I would label “favorite” however, I do enjoy looking back and seeing where I started as an 18 year old who just joined the Navy and the path my career has taken me to today. Lots of steps along the way, with a few bumps and bruises, but wow… it’s been a fun ride.
Advice to other women working in defense:
Own your voice. Speak up and be confident. Share your knowledge. And always keep in mind the three R’s: Respect for self, Respect for others and Responsibility for your actions.
The most valuable thing about my membership with WID San Diego is:
I am a member of WID and fully support this organization because it is all about the support and professional advancement for all women working in National defense.
