My favorite memory from my career in defense was getting my last promotion. I spent years prior working and going to school full-time. I had written my professional goals down and seeing that hard work pay off was unforgettable.

Advice to other women working in defense:
Advice to other women working in defense: My advice would be to find your voice, don’t be afraid to stand against the grain, and have fun at work. We spend more time with the people we work with during the week than we do with our families; this is why it’s important to take care of each other, be respectful, and supportive.

The networking and meeting like-minded, hardworking individuals that take pride in their jobs and personal life.
